Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is the body organized for various recruitment examinations in the state of Maharashtra. It is a portal for recruitment of candidates to various posts offered by the departments of the state government.
MPSC is responsible for conducting the State Service Examination, Maharashtra Engineering Examination, Forest Service Examination and Agricultural Service Examination. The notification of MPSC Recruitment will be available soon on the official website i.e. MPSC. Individuals must have a bachelor's degree or diploma in relevant theory to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.
MPSC recruitment is generally conducted in 3 phases- Preliminary, Mains and Interview. For some posts, candidates may also have to appear for the physical test. The application process for MPSC will be conducted through online mode. The State Service Examination will be conducted in offline mode.

Some of the main things about the MPSC exam pattern are as follows:
- MPSC Recruitment Preliminary Examination will consist of 2 papers- General Studies and CSAT.

- Applicants who pass the prelims examination will proceed to the main stage which will be a descriptive test.
- The main stage will be of descriptive nature and include general study papers, elective subjects, essays and languages.
- Those who qualify for the main exam will have to appear for the personal interview round.

MPSC recruitment selection process
MPSC Recruitment is a 3 tier exam similar to UPSC.
To be admitted, individuals will have to undergo preliminary examination, examination and interview.
The entire process is briefly explained below:
- Preliminary Examination: This is the first phase of the State Service Examination. Applicants have to appear for 2 objective type papers held in a single session. Those clearing the cut off will be selected for the next examination.
- Mains Examination: In this phase, candidates have to appear for various descriptive types of paper. It will also include elective subjects they have chosen. The marks obtained in this phase will be used to prepare a merit list for the round of interview.
- Physical test: This stage is mandatory for only a few posts and will be conducted after the main examination.
- Interview: This is the final stage of the exam in which the applicants have to appear before a panel and have to answer questions about themselves and in the examination of subjects through the entire examination process.
